Marcoat 125 A natural coating material, Marcoat 125 is an aqueous shellac solution uniquely designed for stability, versatility and ease of use. Marcoat 125 can be used in conjunction with hypromellose, hydroxypropyl cellulose and a number of other water soluble film formers to provide a versatile solution to your taste masking, odor masking and moisture barrier issues. Marcoat 125 can be applied to tablets as a clear or pigmented system, and is an effective binder and taste masking agent for fluid bed granulation processes. Unlike pharmaceutical glaze, Marcoat is an aqueous product and will not cause stability problems commonly associated with the use of bleached shellac applied from ethanol |
